B1000 on the way

I spent the weekend going over the copy edited pages of book of a thousand days. I enjoy this, reading through the book for the last time, making minute changes to words, responding to the copy editor's queries. I feel an immense relief and satisfaction with the book, knowing that I did the best by the story that I could. I also received an ARC, which means other people will soon be seeing ARCs, and I'll begin to see early reviews. It'll be out in September, I believe. It's crazy and fun to have two books coming out the same year, and two such different books.

Writing continues to go very slowly. But I don't mind a bit. I find a little time each day to work, but mostly I'm just so in love with this baby and this toddler of mine. Maggie is an utter delight and has incredibly kissable cheeks. Max is brilliant and so kind. I guess I'm the luckiest mama in the world.
