The goat escaping at last
So hey honey, trying to show me up? Noticed that I didn't have a book coming out this year, and thought you'd steal my spotlight? Typical.
Yes, folks, the month you have long awaited for has at last arrived, the month my husband, Dean Hale, exposes to the world his secret project: SCAPEGOAT!
It's a slice of funny and a good time. Independent bookstores agree and named it one of their picks for the summer for their Indie Bound Kids' Next list! And Nathan Hale (no relation) called it "the weirdest picture book I've ever read." You can't BUY that kind of endorsement!
Wednesday, June 22 at 5 pm, The King's English Bookshop in Salt Lake City will host a release party. I'll be there to introduce my hunky hubbie and sign alongside him. As always, we're happy to sign books you bring from home (Rapunzel's Revenge, Calamity Jack, etc.) but when attending a book signing, it's good manners to purchase at least one book from the bookstore hosting the event. (We've gotta love and keep our bookstores in business, friends, or there won't be any left to host events in the future!) This may be the only book event I do for the rest of this year, so come by and say hi! (Oh man, I'd better find a babysitter.)
In honor of Dean, I'll be doing some Dean-themed blog posts for the rest of the month. Have you long been curious about this enigma? This goliath amongst mortal men? This tall drink of water? Come quench your thirst for knowledge in the words of my blog.
