Everyone needs a spare goat

As this is the week of SCAPEGOAT, many of you, no doubt, are hoping for a peek into the enigma that is Dean Hale. This much we know:

1. He is my husband
2. He is large
3. He co-authored Rapunzel's Revenge & Calamity Jack
4. He is larger than you
5. His first solo effort, the picture book SCAPEGOAT!, releases tomorrow
6. He has uprooted trees with his bare hands

In order to shed a little more light, allow me to share with you three photos. Over the past year, I've had my hands full, from being on bed rest to wrangling twin babies. Dean often makes me food. Here are three servings.

This was a peanut butter sandwich he enlived with brownie pieces.

He served me scrambled eggs and sausage, saying, "The theme for tonight's dinner is A Moonlit Cruise."

I hope the message on this sandwich wasn't really an urgent warning.

Dean and I will both be at The King's English this Wednesday, June 22 at 5 pm for the SCAPEGOAT! release. Come party with us! The bookstore says there will be a surprise guest appearance, and I will reveal my Super Secret Project to all who attend.
