Thanks for all the great reccs! I know I'm a book geek, because I found those lists mouthwatering. Roald Dahl will never die! Glad to see The Westing Game is still getting love, too. That was a re-reader for me for sure.

Those of you who  know Libba Bray from her Gemma Doyle trilogy are seeing only part of her. In her new Going Bovine book trailer, she reveals another side of her complex soul. The book (which I'm reading now) is about a boy who has mad cow disease. Perhaps next, she'll write about a person with swine flu called Going Porcine. I love you, Libba Bray! You are a rock star!

I'm 122,000 words into daisy danger brown. Still not sure if it's one book, two, or three. Personally I think I'm insane for writing out the entire first draft of the plot arc in one shot. (first drafts are HARD!) Been on it since January. Thought I'd be done in July. Ha! It goes on and on... But the actions of this story are so tied together, and I can't figure out a story in outline alone. I have to write it out to see what it is. And I was afraid to get locked into the story for the first book, only to find out in the second or third that it wasn't going where I thought it was. So, it's good for the story, I know. But it's hard on poor me. I'm looking forward to the luxury of rewriting.
